I am still giddy about this session! With such a beautiful story, maybe a longish one, but one worth telling!
Kobus called me and asked me to help him with a photoshoot and surprise engagement to his beautiful girlfriend Daniela. The problem was, Daniela would immediately know it was that time if he told her he had arranged a photoshoot for them. And that’s where it all began… Thank you Alet (Daniela’s Hair stylist) for playing along. I “gave” Alet a voucher (which Kobus arranged and paid for) that will expire this week (it had to be this week) and she didn’t want it wasted. So it was given to Daniela. Daniela made contact with me but first I couldn’t help her the Friday or Saturday she wanted…. so she wanted to give the voucher away! Nooo! There and then we thought the hole plan fell apart.
Then I decided that I am going to charm her to do the shoot and hook or by crook I convinced her to do it, all the while trying not to get her suspicious! Girl you made me work for this session!
In the end we booked a date and place and we were set. I bought the Champagne, hiding it in my camera bag with two glasses and we were off to capture a beautiful session. So now for the pretending part, to never have talked to Kobus. I almost gave the game away…
But all worked out, and she was giggly happy with her surprise, obviously she said YES!
